Read this before you open the box. This product contains dried chile peppers ranging from roughly 1,000 to over 2,000,000 Scoville Heat Units. Capsaicin at the upper end of that range causes severe oral and gastrointestinal pain, sweating, involuntary tearing, nausea and vomiting in most people. That is what the product is for. It is not a reason to call us.
Do not consume this product if you
- are under 18 years of age
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have any cardiac or cardiovascular condition
- have asthma or any respiratory condition
- have GERD, ulcers, IBS, Crohn's, colitis or any gastrointestinal condition
- have a known allergy or sensitivity to capsaicin or nightshades
- take medication affecting heart rate or blood pressure
Handling
Wear the enclosed nitrile gloves. Capsaicin transfers readily to skin and does not wash off with water alone. Do not touch your eyes, nose, mouth or any mucous membrane after handling the pods. Wash your hands with dish soap and cool water, twice, before you think about touching your face.
Relief
Whole milk, yogurt, ice cream or another full-fat dairy product. Bread, rice or plain sugar also help. Not water. Capsaicin is not water-soluble, so water spreads it around rather than washing it away.
Seek medical attention if you experience
- chest pain or tightness
- difficulty breathing
- persistent vomiting, or vomiting blood
- fainting or loss of consciousness
- symptoms lasting more than one hour

Storage
Keep the pouches sealed and dry, and store the box out of reach of children and pets. Capsaicin is toxic to dogs and cats.
